Meet Our Coaches

Anna Bolte

Anna is from Omaha, Nebraska where her passion for fitness evolved at a young age by playing sports.  Although she loved the competitive nature of sports in high school, Anna found that Olympic weightlifting challenged her to push further than the barriers she thought she had.  While receiving a Bachelor’s of Science in Nutrition, Exercise and Health Sciences from the University of Nebraska, she ran a marathon because she missed the competition that sports gave her outside of her regular weightlifting.  Anna’s favorite part of coaching and training is teaching her clients correct movement that allows them to reach success.

Discovering CrossFit and applying its principles to both hers and her clients’ training has yielded not only exceptional physical benefits, but also mental flexibility that promotes focused discipline and leads to accomplishments that may have been outside their perceived abilities. Outside of CrossFit, Anna enjoys practicing and teaching yoga and cycling, spending time outside with her family, and cooking!

Ciara Oliver

Ciara Oliver is from Central Arkansas and passed most of her time growing up in the dance studio. Having spent the first two years of college studying dance, as well as being head of her college dance team, she then decided to shift her focus to fitness when she met her husband. She began CrossFit in 2012 and found Olympic Weightlifting soon after, which became her new passion. She was no longer focused on how her body looked-a huge part of the dance world-but what it could do. She then transferred to the University of a Central Arkansas where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sport Science. After three hip surgeries, Ciara empathizes with an injured athlete and believes movement is the key to health. The mental toughness she gained from weightlifting and CrossFit were the key to overcoming these obstacles. Ciara still finds time to teach ballet and works full-time as the Culture and Development Manager at the Little Rock Athletic Club. Outside of her time spent at LRAC, Ciara loves to spend time with her husband, their families, and eating yummy food.

Steven Nauman

Steven was born and raised in North Little Rock. As an overweight teenager, he preferred watching TV over playing sports, except for basketball. His senior year, he tried out for a homeschool basketball team, but his extra weight prevented him from making the team. He decided to lose weight and lost 50 pounds using the P90X program. Discovering that he enjoyed exercise, Steven worked at a Boot Camp for a year and realized he wanted to become a personal trainer and help other people lose weight and become healthier. In January of 2013, he discovered CrossFit and took a class. By May, he was an employee teaching foundation classes, and over the next two years, worked as a personal trainer and CrossFit coach. Steven prefers CrossFit  training because it works every part of your body, instead of focusing on one aspect such as cardio or strength building. His favorite exercise is wallballs and he used that skill to raise money for his CrossFit Level 1 with a fund raiser.  He completed 807 wall balls in one hour!

J.D. Stephenson

J.D. has been involved in sports and exercise from the age of 4 and is originally from a small town in East End, Arkansas. Growing up, he participated in everything from football, basketball, baseball, track, boxing and mixed martial arts. He loves to compete and to be challenged so when J.D. discovered CrossFit a few years back, he absolutely fell in love with it. It's not just the crazy workouts that we do constantly; he loves the community of it all. Just a bunch of people who just want to better themselves every single day, CrossFit gives people the chance to improve in all aspects of life, whether it's becoming faster and stronger, breaking through mental barriers and/or overcoming fear. There's just something special about it all.

J.D. graduated from the University of Central Arkansas in December of 2015 with a degree in Kinesiology and an emphasis is Exercise Science. He has a love and passion for fitness but I have a bigger passion for helping others. As a trainer, J.D. enjoys seeing clients and members reaching their goals. Seeing people lose a few pounds, getting their first pull up or hitting a new P.R. gets him so pumped up and it pushes him to train harder at the same time! J.D. is also a yoga instructor, and is passionate about teaching people how to stretch and become more mobile.

Amy Hudson

Amy Hudson was born and raised in Little Rock. She was an on-again/off-again ‘gym rat’ throughout high school and college, but her fitness journey did not truly begin until she found CrossFit in 2013, as a 30 year old mother of two. CrossFit quickly became an integral part of her life when she discovered the many benefits, both physical and mental, that it provided for her. She also discovered that she does have a competitive streak, and frequently competes in CrossFit, Strongman, and powerlifting events. She coaches because she truly loves to help other people get stronger, both physically and mentally, through CrossFit.
